L–TRANS SERVICE has introduced a new automated line for the production of the legendary «Bird’s Milk» candies.

A true classic of confectionery art is now reaching an industrial level: delicate soufflé texture, lightness, and chocolate coating — the favorite taste of millions can now be consistently reproduced thanks to modern technology.

The equipment provides a full production cycle – from mass preparation to delivering the finished product for packaging. The line allows the production of soufflé candies with a tender aerated structure, coating them with chocolate or glaze, and optionally adding jelly layers or other products to expand the assortment. If necessary, the complex can be supplemented with systems for component storage and feeding.

How the production line works
Each stage of the process is fine-tuned for maximum efficiency and consistent product quality:

  • Confectionery mass preparation kitchen – the masses for Bird’s Milk and jelly layers are automatically fed by pipelines to the production line. Metered dosing of colorants, flavors, and acids into the flow is provided.
The kitchen is tailored individually to the recipe, technological features, and required capacity. It consists of cooking and storage tanks, as well as mixers for combining components. All elements are interconnected with pumps and pipelines, integrated into a single control system ensuring precision, stability, and convenience. Optionally, it can be equipped with an automated storage and feeding system with accurate weight control.

  • Aeration – this stage saturates the mass with air, creating the unique lightness and delicate soufflé texture. The aerator, with carefully adjusted parameters, gives the mass the required structure and ensures stable results. We represent the German company HANSA MIXER and equip our lines with their machinery.

  • Layer forming – after aeration, the tender mass is automatically delivered onto the conveyor and evenly spread. The system monitors thickness and density, guaranteeing consistent quality in every batch. This stage prepares the mass for cooling, cutting, and glazing.

  • Jelly layer – the second layer adds refinement, broadens the assortment, and creates new taste accents. The line includes a jelly cooking kitchen. The jelly is automatically delivered and poured through a special system. Colorants and acids are added in the flow, giving the mass its desired color and consistency.

  • Controlled cooling – a climate-controlled cooling tunnel stabilizes the structure. After the formation of one or two layers, cooling ensures proper stabilization.

  • Two-level cutting – longitudinal and cross-cutting systems guarantee products of uniform size with high accuracy. Adjustable parameters adapt to production needs. Knives are equipped with lubrication systems.

  • Glazing – natural chocolate or confectionery glaze gives the product its finished look and taste. Even coating is ensured by a glazing machine with dual curtains and an air-blowing system. The machine has a pull-out tank. For chocolate glazing, additional equipment includes a tempering machine, decrystallizer, and storage tank. For compound glazing, fat-melting units and storage tanks are provided. After glazing, the product is cooled.
  • Automatic feeding for packaging – the finished product is sent to packaging, with the option of distributing the flow to several packing lines.

Modern control for flawless precision
The line is equipped with an automated control system based on a modern controller.
Touchscreen operator panels provide convenient and intuitive management.

System functions include:

  • manual and automatic start/stop modes,
  • conveyor speed regulation,
  • temperature, pressure, and weight control,
  • automatic section synchronization,
  • event logging and alarm display.

The control system ensures precise processes and consistent product quality.

Personnel safety and reliability
Special attention is given to worker protection and equipment durability:

  • protective covers and screens,
  • emergency stop buttons at key points,
  • light and sound signaling.
Scheduled maintenance guarantees stable and long-term operation.
